Dermitage

The products from Dermitage that we decided to review were the Anti Aging System that they offer.   It is a combination of their “skin renewal complex” and their “Instant Lifting Cream”. Unfortunately, we had a less than positive experience, although the products do contain some high-end ingredients.

dermitage wrinkle creamThe primary warning about this company is that they do two things I personally object to.

1.  Computer enhanced pictures where they add or remove wrinkles to the before/after pictures. Why is that necessary.  Yes, they do write “enhanced image” and “results not typical” underneath these images in their advertising, but it’s still misleading.    I hate that, and I feel that it’s dishonest and probably says something about the ethics of the company.

2.  Pushing the “Free Trial” offer that ends up charging you. If you don’t return the products in a very quick time period, and also cancel, you will be billed each and every month the retail price of the products and will be shipped it over and over.   Again, I feel like too many people simple get sucked into “OH, it’s free.. let me see if I like it” and they don’t read the fine print.   So, Dermitage ends up charging these victims a few times before they figure out what happened.   It’s immoral, and I don’t like it.   A cream line that works doesn’t have to do that to build their business up.   Good products sell themselves.

Setting aside my personal objections to their marketing techniques, let’s see how the anti aging products really worked.

Their ingredients pretty much are just Hyaluronic acid, and their “Rejuvaline” proprietary blend of ingredients.   They reference ingredients in their creams such as “lifting spheres” and “antioxidants”.   My problem with this is that I dont’ get to find out what ingredients are really in the cream I’m rubbing on my face.  What the HECK is a lifting sphere?   And “antioxidants” is so vague… there are millions of them in the world, and not all of them are useful in removing toxins from the skin.

I tried the products for 4 weeks, realizing that I WOULD have to pay for them, as their return policy and cancellation of the monthly automatic shipment plan is too short to actually avoid getting charged.   The products gave me pretty good moisture on my skin.  I could definitely feel an improvement in the softness of my skin.

However, as far as removing wrinkles or age spots, there was no improvement.  The “instant lifting cream” did no such thing.   As I said, it did moisturize me well, but with a name like “instant lift” I expect some type of improvement in wrinkles and firmness.  I was let down by the Dermitage products in that regard.

Customer Support: This is satisfactory.  I was treated politely on the phone and I was only billed one time after I cancelled my plan.  Par for the course with this type of company, I guess.

Overall Recommendation: I believe you can find better products for less money, and that don’t exhibit a lack of ethics.  I will not be buying Dermitage in the future based on several reasons I outline above.

I like other women in their fourties want to look younger and would be willing to pay a lot of money for the product that can do that. I have tried a lot of products including Dermitage and I am still looking for that product since Dermitage was not what I expected. I thought since it costs so much it had to do something, even just a little improvment would have been nice. Unfortunaly this product is not any better than the creams you can buy in the store for less money.
This is not worth the money and don’t be fooled with the free trial, there is nothing that is good that is free, I did get billed 69.00 for a cream that does nothing the label claims it will. I have used this product for 3 months now and still no improvment.

Tried the Dermitage 30 day trial, but returned it in 10 days. Made the skin soft, but did little for the wrinkles. Had to call to get the RMA # and then called again to remove the credit card bill, which was removed the next month. I was charged a fee for their shipping and then paid another $10 to return the container.
Waste of time! Don’t do it unless you like the hassle ?

Watch out for the “free trial offer” by Dermitage. They’ll send you 2 products but if you don’t notify them in 2 weeks they’ll charge you $109.00 for them. To make it worse, 30 days later they’ll send the same 2 products and charge another $116.00!! Don’t get sucked in because they won’t let you send the unused products back. They’ll stick you for over $200.00 when you thought you’d get a “free trial”. So how are the products? No different than any others. Certainly NOT worth what they charge.

I used the product for several months and have to agree with the review listed above. I noticed no difference in my skin. I was attracted to the product because it is fragrance free and I am allergic to fragrance. However, I find Olay’s fragrance free products to be superior to Dermitage. I would not waste my money again on this product. Also, the product turned color within a month of use and started smelling funny. Got to wonder how good the product that changes color like that is!

The ad says they give you a 30 day supply to try out. The fine print says that if you don’t call them, get an RMA number, and return the product within 14 days, they’ll charge you $79. I don’t understand how you can try a product for 30 days, but have to return it after only 14. How do you know if the product works without trying it for the entire 30 days? Not only that, but the 14 days starts with the day that you order it - not the date that you received it! I complied and returned it in a timely manner with RMA number affixed, but I really liked the product and would’ve liked to have seen what the results would have been after a full 30 days. Not worth the hassle.
